Hubert Butcher, Former Local Resident, Dies
Hubert M. Butcher, 39, of El Paso, Tex., a former resident of Estherville, died Monday [March 11, 1946] evening in El Paso.

Hubert Butcher was born Oct. 21, 1907 [per cemetery records 1905], at Watertown, S.D., and moved to Estherville at the age of three. He lived here until he was twelve. He was married to Una Morris, Feb. 15, 1942, at El Paso.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Leona Butcher, and six sisters, Mrs. Fred Mandery of Redfield, S.D.; Mrs. B.F. Albitz of Minneapolis; Mrs. Harry L. Seivers of Waterloo; Mrs. Dwight Wiseman of Armstrong; Mrs. Harold Morton of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. William Henaman.

The funeral will be held at the Sternborg chapel with the Rev. J.M. Kennedy officiating. The day and time have not been announced pending the arrival of the body. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 13, 1956; Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, March 14, 19460)
