Adeline Cunningham Funeral Held Saturday
Was Resident of Emmet Co. 72 Years
Miss Adeline Elizabeth Cunningham, 72, of the Mud Lake vicinity passed away Thursday night, November 12. She had been seriously ill with anemia for several months and gradually grew weaker until called by death.

Her funeral services were held in Graettinger at the Immaculate Conception church, at 9:30 Saturday morning. The pastor, the Rev. Father D.K. Hurley, officiated. Many neighbors and old friends of the deceased were in attendance at the funeral. The remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery.

Miss Cunningham was born in Emmet county 72 years ago. The Cunningham family, parents of the deceased, located near Mud Lake some time in the late 60’s. This has always been their home. The parents, of course, passed away a number of years ago. Deceased is survived by a sister Mary and a brother James and a nephew, Tom Cunningham, all of the Mud Lake vicinity.

For many years the members of the Cunningham family were active in the affairs of the community in which they resided. The parents, who located here around three-quarters of a century ago, were among the real pioneers of this section and they experienced all the hardships of the early day settlers.

The Times extends sympathy to the brother and sister and to the nephew in the sorrow they have sustained. (Graettinger Times, Graettinger, IA, November 19, 1942)
