Mrs. W.E. Bradley Dies at Hospital
Mrs. W.E. (Eva) Bradley, longtime resident of Estherville who would have been 91 Wednesday, died about 4 a.m. today at Holy Family Hospital. Cause of her death is listed as old age and complications following a stroke. She had been hospitalized here since July 17 when she suffered her first stroke.Mrs. Bradley came to Estherville as a young school teacher from Rowan where she was born Dec. 12, 1865. She attended Cornell College, Mt. Vernon and taught school here several years before her marriage here to the late Dr. W.E. Bradley in July 1895.
Her husband preceded her in death in February, 1938. Survivors include one son, William Bradley of Tenafly, N.J., one daughter, Mrs. Duane (Janet) Hause of East Lansing, Mich., four grandchildren.
Two brothers, Fred Robinson of Estherville and Ira Robinson of Santa Barbara, Calif., also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at Sternborg’s Funeral Chapel on Tuesday. The Rev. Thomas G. Melton will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 8, 1956)
