Mrs. Buelah [Beulah] Barker, Former Estherville Resident, is Dead
Mrs. Beulah Barker of Des Moines, a former resident of Estherville for 38 years, died Friday [April 20, 1945] in Des Moines where the family has been living for the past two years.

Mrs. Barker, who was 47 years old at the time of her death, is survived by her husband [M.E. Barker], one son in the navy, a daughter living in Des Moines and two grandchildren.

Other survivors are her mother, Mrs. Maude McAffee, five sisters, Mrs. Ralph Krough of Armstrong; Florence McAffee of Estherville; Mrs. Dolly Noll of Washington D.C.; Violet Bormann of Seattle, Wash., and Bessie Spurling of Stratford, Iowa. There is also one brother, Leroy, of Cheyenne, Wyo.

The body will arrive in Estherville Sunday and funeral services will be held Monday afternoon from Sternborg’s funeral home at 3 p.m. with the Rev. J.M. Kennedy officiating.
