Jackson, Minn. – Ione B. Harvey, 80, of Jackson and formerly of Estherville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, at Good Samaritan Home in Jackson.

She was born March 16, 1926, in Terril, to Leo and Clara (Olberding) Deteman.

Ione graduated from Terril High School in 1943. She was united in marriage to Robert L. Harvey on July 15, 1947, in Milford. Robert passed away on February 14, 1999.

She was a member of VFW Auxiliary and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville. She enjoyed walking, reading, cooking and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Ione is survived by her four children, Connie Gage and her husband Gailen of Lakefield, Minn.; Becky Klohs and her husband David of LeMars; Julie Loewenberg and her husband Craig of Overland Park, Kan.; and Scott Harvey and his wife Michelle of Luverne, Minn.; a brother, Darial Determan and his wife Dorothy of Milford; 11 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, and a granddaughter, Kimberly Gage.

A private family memorial graveside service will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Estherville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in her name.
