John Klingbeil, 68, of Estherville, was found dead in his garage on Friday [December 28, 1945]. Death was due to monoxide poisoning. He failed to open the doors before starting his car and was overcome by gas. (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, January 3, 1946)
