Estherville – Services for Marjorie Richard, 64, of Estherville, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church with Rev. Dr. Michael Thiel officiating. Interment will be in High Lake Cemetery at Wallingford. She died Monday, Oct. 16, 1995 at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.

She was born Nov. 5, 1930 at Stickney, S.D., the daughter of John and Ethel (Reynolds) Smith. She attended school in Estherville. She was united in marriage with Donald Richard on Dec. 31, 1947 in Estherville. Following marriage the couple farmed in the Estherville and Wallingford area for many years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, Holy Family Hospital Auxiliary and the Ryan Lake Club. She worked with various church circles.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Richard of Estherville; sons: Larry of Leon; Jim of Wallingford, Bruce of Dakota City and Dave of Columbus, Neb.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and mother-in-law, Ethel Richard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and father-in-law. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 18, 1995)
