The little three-year old child of Mr. and Mrs. Murphy, living east of town, died Friday [February 26, 1897] last, after a short but painful illness. The funeral occurred Saturday. The family has the sympathy of their friends and neighbors in the community where they reside. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, March 3, 1897)
