Graettinger – Services for LeRoy [Melvin] Oddson, 77, Graettinger, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, Graettinger, with Pastor Luther Flugstad officiating. Interment will be in High Lake Cemetery, rural Wallingford. He died Thursday, Dec. 21, 1995 at Holy Family Hospital. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home of Graettinger is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Feb. 23, 1918 at Graettinger, the son of Edd and Louisa (Johnson) Oddson. He attended country schools. He married Bernice Togstad in June of 1952 in Jackson, Minn. He lived and farmed all his life in the Wallingford and Graettinger areas. He was baptized and confirmed in the Wallingford Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice, of Graettinger; step-son Dwight Derrickson of Ruthven; step-daughter, Mrs. Gary (Donna) Stribley of Jackson, Minn.; four step-grandchildren; sisters, Lilian Dahle, Wolden and Mrs. Linus (Lorraine) Smith of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 23, 1950
