Ringsted – Frank Neilson, 78, Ringsted, died Friday at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.Services for Mr. Neilson were held Monday morning at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Ringsted, with the Rev. Dale Jensen of the Immanuel Lutheran Church south of Gruver officiating. Interment was in High Lake Township Cemetery.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Frank Neilson, he was born Jan. 27, 1901, at Prairie City and received his education in country schools. He was married to Anna Thiel on Feb. 24, 1926.
He moved with his parents to the DePew area in 1909 and later moved to Jack Creek Township in Emmet County, where he farmed until retiring in 1975 and moving into Ringsted. He was a member of the Modern Woodman of America.
Mr. Neilson is survived by his wife, Anna, Ringsted; two brothers, George Neilson, Graettinger, and Walter Neilson ,Oregon City, Ore.; and four sisters, Mrs. Mildred Austin and Mrs. Lyle (Christina) Halstead, both of Emmetsburg, Mr. William (Geraldine) Bailey, Lakeport, Calif., and Mrs. August (Grace) Neilson, Rolfe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 10, 1979)
