The funeral of Mrs. Thomas Kelly, who recently died near Graettinger, was held from the M.E. church at that place Sunday afternoon. The remains were laid to rest in High Lake cemetery. She is a daughter of Eli Craven [Harris] of Graettinger. She will be remembered as Mrs. Martin Jaard. (Emmetsburg Democrat, Emmetsburg, IA, July 3, 19120

Mrs. Thomas Kelley Dead
The remains of Mrs. Thomas Kelly arrived in this city Saturday evening from Omaha. The funeral was held in the Methodist church at one o’clock Sunday afternoon. Reverend Howlett conducted the services. Burial was made in the High Lake cemetery.

Mrs. Kelly died at the hospital in Omaha from the effects of the anaesthetic while she was on the operating table and about to undergo an operation for goiter.

Minnie Harris was born in Illinois December 11, 1875. When six years of age she moved with her parents to Iowa and lived near Fort Dodge and later moved to this place. She was married twice and by her first husband has a little daughter eleven years old. She was married five years ago to Thomas Kelly, who with the daughter survive her. Three years ago she and her husband moved to Omaha where they have since resided. Deceased was kind and had a loving disposition. She will be sadly missed by the husband and little daughter. She leaves besides these, her father, two sisters, Mesdames Elmer Fox of Estherville and Fred Wolfe of this place and five brothers, Fred, Hilton, Charles, Gill and James. The sister, Mrs. Fox has taken the little girl. Sympathy is extended to those who mourn her death. (Graettinger Times, Graettinger, IA, July 4, 1912)
