Graettinger – Funeral services for Jerry Alvin Johnson, 19, of Wallingford will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at the Bethel Lutheran church in Graettinger, with the Rev. Wesley Brodin, Wallingford, officiating. Interment will be in the High Lake Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home in Graettinger from 3 p.m. Wednesday until time of services.

Mr. Johnson drowned Sunday, July 27, while swimming in a gravel pit at the southwest edge of Emmetsburg. He was born Oct. 11, 1955, at Estherville.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Johnson of rural Wallingford; two sisters, Mrs. John (Jean) Nitchals, Graettinger, and Jean at home; one grandfather, John Johnson, Wallingford; and one grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Wilson, Estherville.
