Ina Isackson [Isakson] Dies at 48
Ina Margaret Isackson, 48, died at 2:30 p.m. yesterday at the home of her brother, Bernard Isackson, in Estherville where she had been staying for the past five and a half weeks.Death was caused by cancer. She had been confined to her bed for the past 13 weeks and had been ailing for 14 months.
Miss Isackson was born July 5, 1914, on the farm of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Isackson, in High Lake township.
She attended District 10 school south of Wallingford and the Wallingford school.
Miss Isackson spent her life in High Lake township and kept house for her father after her mother’s death.
She was a lifetime member of the Immanuel Lutheran church south of Gruver and was active in the Rebecca circle of the church.
Surviving are her father, Lewis, of rural Estherville; a brother, Bernard of Estherville; a niece, Mrs. Dale King of Estherville; a nephew, Leon Isackson of Charles city; two grandnieces and three grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one brother.
Family services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran church south of Gruver and will be followed at 2 p.m. by public services.
The Rev. Benjamin Coltvet will officiate. Burial will be in the High Lake cemetery.
Friends may call at the Reese funeral home after 6 p.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. Monday when the casket will be taken to the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 21, 1964)
