Isakson Rites Set For Thursday
Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis (Emma) Isakson of Wallingford will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran church south of Gruver. The Rev. Benjamin Coltvet will officiate. Burial will be at High Lake cemetery.Mrs. Isakson, 75, died at her farm home near Wallingford early Saturday [April 26, 1958] morning. Death was believed due to a heart attack.
Emma Gustia Rokne was born Oct. 13, 1882 in High Lake township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brunjeld Rokne. She was married to Lewis Isakson on Oct. 30, 1906.
Mrs. Isakson was a lifetime resident of Emmet county and also a life-long member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors are her husband, Lewis; two sons, Bernard of Estherville and Wilmer of Wallingford, presently hospitalized at Iowa City; one daughter, Ina, at home; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one sister, Mrs. Martha Traefold of Mora, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at the Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home from tomorrow until 4 p.m. Wednesday at which time the body will be taken to the Isakson home to lie in state until Thursday afternoon. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 28, 1958)
