Mr. and Mrs. Keffer buried their infant daughter Edna Maree Tuesday [December 29, 1896] of this week. The little one was sick only a short time with some affection of the brain. Rev. Feather conducted the services and interment was made in this cemetery and not a parent hear but what extend their heart felt sympathy in this bereavement. “An angel passed this way, hunting for jewels to display, in highest courts of heaven; he found this darling babe and cried “Here is one ready made, The fairest ever given.” (Semi-weekly Northern Vindicator, Estherville, IA, January 1, 1897)
