Last Rites for Mrs. Berge Will Be Held on Friday
Last rites for Mrs. Lewis (Berthina) Berge are to be on Friday at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church south of Gruver. The Rev. Benjamin Coltvet is to be assisted in the service by the Rev.Ingolf Kronstad of Minneapolis, son-in-law of the late Mrs. Berge and Dr. Carl E. Braaten, grandson-in-law.

Honorary pallbearers are to be John H. Morrice, Hugh M. Bradshaw, P.G. Paulson, Noah Rugtiv, Clarence Skattebo and Albert Wolden.

Active pallbearers have been named as Lewis A. Aanonson, Joseph Brown, Milford Brown, Arnold Hoganson, Edgar Iverson and Walter Thiel. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 1, 1961)

Mr. and Mrs. Swen Berg of Red Lodge, Mont., left recently for their home after visiting here with relatives since arriving here to attend funeral services for Mrs. Berthina Berge. Before coming to Estherville they were in Brodhead, Wis., to attend the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis J. Berg. While here they visited with Mrs. Berg’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Brown, also her brothers, Joseph and Milford Brown and families.
