Soneva Sando, Former Local Resident, Dies
Soneva Sando, 78, sister of L.L. Nelson of Estherville, died this week end [September 4, 1949] at Minneapolis general hospital. She had lived in Minneapolis for a number of years, but was a native of Emmet county.She was born in Emmet county April 10, 1871, and lived in Wallingford until she moved to Minneapolis several years ago. Her husband died about 24 years ago at Wallingford.
Survivors include her brother, L.L. Nelson of Estherville, another brother, William L. Nelson of Wallingford; two sisters, Mrs. Thea Munson of Wallingford and Mrs. John Lee of Puyallup, Wash.; five daughters, Thelma and Beatha Sando of Minneapolis; Mrs. Henry Borson of Minneota, Minn.; Mrs. Burl Kepke of Mercec, Calif., and Mrs. George Pettibone of Miami; and on son, John Rislow of Appleton, Wis.
Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Wallingford Lutheran church, Rev. C.B. Gunderson officiating. Burial will be a Lake Side cemetery near Wallingford. Friends may pay their last respects by calling at the Sandin funeral home anytime up to 10 a.m. tomorrow. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 6, 1949)
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Borson of Minneota,Minn., Mrs. Thelma Sando, Mrs. Bertha Sando and Mrs. Herman Sando of Minneapolis and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Steiner of Alpha, Minn., have returned to their home after attending the funeral yesterday of Mrs. Soneva Sando.
