Devoted Mother Taken
Mrs. H.A. Sauer passed away at her farm home Monday [December 22, 1930] morning after an illness of long duration. Mrs. Sauer was a devoted wife and mother and her outstanding thought was for her home and family. She was a truly devoted wife and mother possessing the qualities that make a worth while helpmeet. She was a staunch Christian woman and a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Catholic church. Mrs. Sauer was born June 16, 1862 and was 68 years old at the time of her demise. Besides the husband, Mrs. Sauers leaves three children to mourn her passing. Nellie and Herman who are living at home and Inez who is now Sister Margaret of Detroit, Michigan. Her sisters are Margaret Carrigg of Waterloo and Mrs. Chas. Flynn of Des Moines and the brothers are Stephen and James Carrigg of Waterloo.The funeral services will be held at the Catholic church Wednesday morning at 9:30 o’clock.
