Emma Marie Refsell
Estherville – Emma Marie Refsell, 90, Estherville, and formerly of Wallingford, died Saturday [March 5, 1977] at Rosewood Manor Nursing Home here.

An Interment service was held at 1 p.m. today at Riverside Cemetery, Wallingford, with a memorial service held today at the Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Obert Rust officiating.

Mrs. [Miss?] Refsell was born Nov. 15, 1886, east of Wallingford, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Refsell. She attended school in the Wallingford area and the Jewell Lutheran College, Jewell.

Mrs. Refsell taught school in the Wallingford and Graettinger area for many years and was a bookkeeper for the Wallingford elevator for 25 years.

She is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Hugo Lindholm, Estherville, and Mrs. Henn Soonpaa, Grand Forks, N.D. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 7, 1977)
