Estherville – Funeral services for Jerry L. Posey, 39, of rural Estherville and the Wallingford area will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 15 at the Wallingford Lutheran Church with Pastor Jack Torgersen officiating. Interment will be held at the Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery, Wallingford. He died on Friday, July 12 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

Visitation will be held from noon till time of services on Monday, July 15 at the Wallingford Lutheran Church.

He was born on April 29, 1957 in Minden, La. He received his education in Minden, Louisiana, graduating from high school in 1974. After high school he was employed as a truck driver. He was united in marriage to Susan Osher on April 13, 1987 at Sioux Falls, S.D. After their marriage, he was employed at Ag Chem in Jackson, Minn. for eight years. The last few years, he also assisted Susan with her three acres of strawberries and farmer market business. He attended the Wallingford Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, of rural Estherville; one daughter, Nichole Mikesell; two sons, Stephen Anderson and J.J. Posey, all of rural Estherville; four brothers, Harry of Jamestown, La.; Ronnie of Marthaville, La.; Lamar of Minden, La.; and Bob of Waskom, Texas.
