Mrs. Lewis Osher Dies
Mrs. Lewis B. (Emma) Osher, 77, of Wallingford, died yesterday at 3:25 p.m. at Holy Family Hospital. Mrs. Osher had been hospitalized the past four weeks but had been in failing health for some time.

The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin C. Christopher, Emma Christopher was born March 23, 1880 in High Lake Township. She received her schooling in the High Lake schools.

She was married to the late Lewis B. Osher, Sept. 5, 1915 in Wallingford. Mr. and Mrs. Osher farmed in the Wallingford area and then Mrs. Osher continued to live on the farm after Mr. Osher’s death in 1941, until four and one half years ago when she moved into Wallingford.

Mrs. Osher was a longtime member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church and was an honorary member of WMF.

She is survived by two sons, Everett and Bernard; a brother, Albert Christopher, all of Wallingford; a sister, Mrs. Andrew Larson of Minot, N.D., and three grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, and a brother.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Wallingford Lutheran Church, the Rev. Norbert Jolivette officiating. A family service at 1:30 in the church basement will precede the public service.

Friends may call at Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home from this evening until 11 a.m. Monday when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until time of services. The casket will not be opened at the service. Burial will be in Wallingford Lutheran cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 22, 1957)
