Eugene Marion Olson, 62, passed away at Mercy Hospital, Anoka, Minn., at 11:45 a.m., Tuesday, October 21, 1969.

Born August 31, 1907, the son of Edward E. and Mary Lein Olson, near Randall, Iowa, he was baptized by his uncle, Rev. G. O. Paulsrud of Randall, and was confirmed by Rev. J.N. Sandven at Salem Lutheran Church, Roland. With his family, he moved to Wallingford in Mach of 1925. After the death of his father, he moved with his mother to Minneapolis, Minn. He was married to Kathryne Anderson on May 30, 1943.

He was employed for many years by Sterling Electric Co., Minneapolis, and for the last few years was self-employed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Olson; a nephew, E. Duane Twedt. Surviving are his wife, Katheryne of Anoka, Minn., a sister, Mrs. Joseph Twedt of Annandale, Minn., several nieces and nephews, two aunts, Mrs. Gertrude Combs and Mrs. G.O. Paulsrud, and cousins.

Burial was October 25 in the family lot beside his parents at Riverside Cemetery, Wallingford, Iowa. (Roland Record, Roland, IA, November 6, 1969)
