Wallingford – Services for Olga B. Ness, 88, will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Wallingford Lutheran Church with Pastor Virgil Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She died Thursday, June 25, 1992 at Spencer Municipal Hospital.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville after 4 p.m. Sunday.

She was born Dec. 25, 1903 at High Lake Township, Emmet County, Iowa, the daughter of Oliver and Betsy (Olson) Refsell. She attended Wallingford Elementary, Estherville High School and Waldorf College and Iowa State Teachers College. On Sept. 28, 1928 she married Ingolf Ness at Wallingford. The couple lived in Wallingford following their marriage, later in Missouri and Kansas. The couple retired in 1964 and returned to Wallingford. He died in October 1972.

She was a member of Wallingford Lutheran Church; Wallingford Lutheran Women; American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of Norway and Farm Bureau Auxiliary.

Survivors include one son Oliver Ness, Omaha; one daughter, Mrs. Jonas (Joan) Hildremyr, Garrison, N.D.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, one grandson, three brothers and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 27, 1992)
