Delmer Nelson Dies; Rites Set Saturday
Delmer Nelson, 65, Estherville, died Dec. 30 at the home of his sisters, Mrs. Leslie Sidles. The cause of death was a heart attack.

He was born Feb. 13, 1905, at Petersburg, Minn., to Mr. and Mrs. William Nelson. At the age of 13 he moved with his parents to High Lake township in Emmet County.

He was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church. He never married.

Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Leslie Sidles, Estherville; one brother, Theodore Nelson, Mira Loma, Calif.; and two nieces and nephews.

Services will be held t 2 p.m. Saturday at the Estherville Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating. Burial will be at the Wallingford Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home from noon Friday until noon Saturday, when the body will be taken to the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 31, 1970)
