Myhre Rites Held Monday
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday for Archer Arden Myher, who died April 13, 1973, at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville. The Rev. Wesley Brodein officiated at the services held at Wallingford Lutheran Church, Wallingford.

Mr. Myhre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Myhre, was born Sept. 22, 1894, near Graettinger. He received his education in Twelve Mile Lake Township schools and Estherville High School. On Feb. 22, 1922, he was married to Julia Nelson at the home of her parents at Wallingford. The couple farmed until July 1968, when they retired and moved to Estherville. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1972.

He was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church in Wallingford. He served with the U.S. Army in World War I, and was a member of the American Legion Post, Wallingford.

Survivors include his wife, Julia; one nephew, three great-nephews; and one great-niece. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Irwin.
