Mrs. Chris Larson Passed Away at Wallingford
Was in Failing Health for Months

Mrs. Chris Larson, 64, passed away at her home in Wallingford on November 6. The funeral was held at Wallingford the following Tuesday. Mrs. Larson had been ill for a long time but the immediate cause of her death was a heart attack. She passed away suddenly. Mrs. Larson’s maiden name was Seim. She was born at Wallingford November 22, 1877. Hence she was almost 65 years of age at the time of her death. She was married to Mr. Chris Larson November 30, 1893. Seven children were born to this union. They are Arthur, of St. Paul; Curtis, of Maple Hill; Mrs. Stella Nelson, of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Gladys Sumpter, of Estherville; Lieut. Leonard Larson, of Camp Roberts. A daughter, Mrs. Edna Fordyce, passed away three years ago, and a son, Freddie, died in infancy. Besides the husband and children, the death of Mrs. Larson is mourned by one sister, Mrs. Emma Hankins, Milford. There are six grandchildren. Mrs. Larson spent her entire lifetime in Wallingford with the exception of six years. She was very highly regarded by all who knew her. The Times extends sincere sympathy to Mr. Larson and the members of the family in their sorrow. (Graettinger Times, Graettinger, IA, November 26, 1942)
