Henry M. Egertson Dies at 73
Henry Martin Egertson, 73, died early last evening at his home when he suffered a fatal heart attack.

Mr. Egertson was born Jan. 4, 1891, in Emmet county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Erick Egertson. He had spent his entire life on the farm two miles west of Wallingford in 12-Mile Lake township where he was born until he retired in 1961 and moved to Estherville.

He was married on Nov. 11, 1919, to Hilda Anderson of Estherville, a rural Emmet county school teacher. She died on Oct. 2, 1962.

Mr. Egertson was a long-time member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two sons, Stanley and Richard, both of Estherville; a daughter, Mrs. Frank McKinney of Des Moines, two grandchildren, and one brother, Severt Egertson of Estherville.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wallingford Lutheran Church, the Rev. Robert E. Glaser officiating. Burial will be in Wallingford Lutheran cemetery.

Friends may call anytime on Wednesday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Thursday when the body will be taken to lie in state at the church. The casket will not be opened following services.

The family has established a memorial either for the Wallingford Lutheran Church or the heart fund. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 27, 1964)
