Estherville – Services for Christina Drew, 97, of Estherville, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wallingford Lutheran Church with Pastor Virgil Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery. She died Sunday [July 18, 1993] at Good Samaritan Center in Estherville. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home of Estherville is in charge of arrangements.She was born April 27, 1896 in Holland, the daughter of Harm and Alice (Johnson) Koolhof. She moved with her family to the United States when she was two years old. The family settled in the Webster City area and she attended rural schools. On Nov. 23, 1915 she married John Drew at Webster City. They farmed in Nebraska and Iowa. After retiring they made their home in Wallingford. She moved to the Good Samaritan Center in 1991.
Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Maurice (Marvel) Seylar, Estherville and Mrs. Joe (Karen) Rauscher, Philadelphia; four sons: Carl of Tulsa, Okla.; Harm of Phoenix; John of Cleghorn and Maurice of Spirit Lake; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979; parents; one daughter; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; three brothers and four sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 21, 1993)
