Wallingford Area Man Dies at 82
Albert [Martin] Christopher, 82, lifetime resident of the Wallingford area, died today at 4:20 a.m. at his home in Wallingford. Death was attributed to a heart condition.

Born Jan. 31, 1877 in High Lake Township, the deceased received his education in the schools of that township and worked there as a young man.

He was married on May 9, 1917 to Mary Sophing in Estherville and the couple spent their entire married life in the Wallingford area where Mr. Christopher worked as a carpenter.

Surviving Mr. Christopher’s death are his wife and a daughter, Mrs. Dale Van Noy of Faribault, Minn., also two granddaughters and one sister, Mrs. Andrew Larson of Minot, N.D.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Funeral services are to be held Monday. There is to be a 1 p.m. service at the Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home with Elder C.E. Larson officiating. At 2 p.m. services will be held in the Wallingford Lutheran Church, the Rev. Norbert Jolivette officiating. Burial will be in the Wallingford cemetery.

Friends may call at Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home from Saturday until time of the services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 23, 1959)
