Lewis Andrew Aanonson Services Set Thursday
Estherville – Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday for Lewis Andrew Aanonson, 81, who died at 7:10 a.m. July 8 in his Estherville home.

The Rev. Dale Jenson will officiate at the services to be held in Immanuel Lutheran Church, south of Gruver. Interment will be in Wallingford Cemetery [Wallingford Lutheran].

Mr. Aanonson was born May 22, 1893 in Estherville to John and Dora Lakevold Aanonson. He was educated in Estherville schools and was married on Dec. 20, 1919 to Emma Johnson at Petersburg, Minn. He farmed in Emmet County. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife, Emma; three sons, Leland of Denver, Eldon of Estherville and Glen of Strasburg, Colo.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Art Aanonson, Estherville, and Hilmer Aanonson, Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, is in charge of arrangements where visitation may be made after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Johnson, David Johnson, Vernon Egertson, Arnie Yates, Dennis Johnson and Marlyn Stearns. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Howard, Sylvester Berge, Tom Smith, Andy Anderson, Leo Sevold, O. Harold Johnson, Vernon Brown and Lawrence Hanson.
