Estherville – Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Aanonson, 79, Estherville, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church south of Gruver with the Rev. Dale Jenson officiating and burial at the Wallingford Cemetery. She died Monday [May 26, 1975] morning at the Good Samaritan Center.

Mrs. Aanonson was born January 7, 1896 in Emmet County to Anton and Betsy Herbrandson Johnson and was educated in rural schools near Superior. She was married to Lewis Aanonson December 20, 1919 in Petersburg, Minn. they had lived and farmed in Emmet County since their marriage. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church south of Gruver.

Survivors include three sons, Leland, Denver, Colo.; Eldon, Estherville; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ed Egertson, Estherville; Alma Johnson, Petersburg; and Mrs. Oscar Johnson, Forest city; three brothers, John, Jackson; Harry, Petersburg; and Art, Echo, Minn.
