Dorothy Sadie Burt, the daughter of Glenn and Bertha (Flaig) Burt, was born November 1, 1918, in Lone Rock, Iowa. She passed away Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Avera Holy Family Health in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 87 years.

She received her education in the Lone Rock schools and graduated from Lone Rock High School in 1936. She was active in sports. She lived in Lone Rock and moved to a farm north of Armstrong when she was nine years old. During this time she also lived with her aunt and uncle in Lone Rock until she graduated.

On January 5, 1937, Dorothy was united in marriage to Clarence Raymond Enderson in Armstrong, Iowa. Following their marriage they lived on the Burt family farm for eight years and then moved to Estherville in 1945, where they raised two sons and a daughter. Dorothy was a house wife and very hard worker and an active member of the First Christian Church. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, sewing, camping, fishing, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, bowling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After retirement, Clarence and Dorothy enjoyed camping three winters in Texas and then their early retirement years were changed drastically when Dorothy was stricken with illness. Dorothy had been a resident of Rosewood Manor since January of 1997, where her great spirit and determination sustained her many years after becoming ill.

Grateful for having shared Dorothy's life are, her husband, Clarence of Estherville; two sons, Raymond Enderson and his wife, Ardyce of Dallas Center, Iowa; Robert Enderson and his wife, Juanita of Beaufort, North Carolina; one daughter, Carol Krueger of Kansas; seven grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren, including, Neil and his wife, Stephanie and their children Alex, Allysa and Callista of Battle Ground, Washington; Paul and his wife, Deanna and their children, Moriah, Andrew, Phillip, Rachael and Dana of Redfield, Iowa; Glen of Dallas Center, Iowa; Chris and his wife, Deb and their childen, Ashley, Kaylyn, Jared and step-children, Tim Manley, Kristyn Manley and Mike Bougher of Dexter, Iowa; Adam Krueger and his child, Alec of Boone, Iowa; Anne (Krueger) Vedder and her husband, Jack and their children, Reese and Vanessa of Estherville; and Karin (Enderson) Leith and her husband, Brian of Fenton, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Deb Enderson of Hillsboro, Missouri.

Preceding Dorothy in death were her daughter-in-law, Roberta Enderson; son-in-law, DeLoy Krueger; and her parents.
