Cora Bringle
Spirit Lake – Graveside Memorial Service will be held at East Side Memorial Cemetery, Estherville, Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. for Cora Bringle, 85, of Spirit Lake. Father A.O. Grendler of Spirit Lake will officiate the service. She died Sunday, April 28, 1996 at McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home of Estherville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation was held on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

She was born Aug. 24, 1910 [per cemetery records, 1911] at Morris, Ill., the daughter of Roy and Lillian (Ellis) Hutton and attended grade school in Illinois before her family moved to Iowa. She graduated from Cylinder High School. On July 14, 1938 she married Lubie Bringle at Jackson, Minn. the couple farmed northeast of Superior many years. She has lived in Spirit Lake the past few years. She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran church and the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include daughters: Mary Gilbert, Spirit Lake; Betty Koos, Rockwell City; Janet Kollasch and Pat Stevens, Estherville; sons: David Bringle of Spencer and Robert of Spirit Lake; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters: Vena Hill, Morris, Ill.; Esther Canham and Ethel Heilmeier, Spirit Lake and Margaret Beaster, Fond du Lac, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lubie Jan. 7, 1985; one grandchild, parents; one brother and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 1, 1996)
