Estherville – Services for Mrs. Melvin (Betty) Breyfogle, 65, of Estherville, are pending at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville. She died Tuesday [August 31, 1993] at McKennan Hospital at Sioux Falls, S.D. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 1, 1993)

Estherville – Services for Mrs. Melvin (Betty) Breyfogle, 65, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church, Estherville, with Rev. Dr. Mike Thiel officiating. Interment will be in East Side Memorial Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1993 at McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.

She was born Jan. 25, 1928 at Cherokee, the daughter of Thomas and Beulah (Locke) Bevins and attended Quimby School where she graduated from high school in 1946. On Aug. 4, 1946 she was united in marriage with Melvin Breyfogle at Cherokee. In 1947 the couple moved to Estherville where they have lived most of their married lives. She was a member of First Christian Church in Estherville.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin, of Estherville; sons: David, of Fredericksburg, Va.; Daniel of Mason City; Douglas, of Ft. Dodge, and Dale, of Ft. Collins, Colo.; grandchildren: Kirsten, Brian, Gary, Mindy and Christopher; brothers: John Bevins, Ashland, Neb. and Charles Bevins, of Riverside, Calif.; sisters: Charlotte Simmons of Riverside; Dorothy Thomsen, Holstein and Margaret Davis of Palm Springs, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and two sisters.
