Estherville – Memorial services for Lucylle G. Anderson, 87, of Estherville will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 7 at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Pastor Paul Wiegman officiating. Interment will be held at East Side Cemetery in Estherville. She died on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003 at Avera Holy Family Health in Estherville.

There will be no visitation.

Lucylle was born on Feb. 20, 1915 in Hardwick, Minn., the daughter of Oswald and Irene (Connell) Tostenrud. Lucylle received her education in the Estherville schools. Following high school she attended Aberdeen Business College in Aberdeen, S.D.

On Jan. 1, 1934, Lucylle was united in marriage to Arnold Anderson in Estherville. Following their marriage the couple made their home in Estherville where she was employed by D.E.K. Rural Electric Co-op, Estherville Community Schools, Holy Family Hospital and the Auditor’s Office at Emmet County Courthouse. Arnold died on March 27, 1998.

Lucylle is survived by her daughter, Sharon Anderson of Iowa City; sister, Mary Petersen of Estherville; daughter-in-law, Judy Anderson of Chandler, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Mary Johnson, Barb Elledge, Sue Hair and Matt Anderson and seven great-grandchildren.

She has been preceded in death by her husband and one son, Mick Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be sent to the Estherville Art and Hospital Project through Heartland Americana. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 5, 2003)
