Mrs. Byron W. Weir died yesterday at Holy Family hospital in Estherville. She suffered a heart attack a week ago and was taken to the hospital. She was born, Lizzie M. Denk, April 25, 1880, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of George and Margaret (Linder) Denk. She received her education in Columbus, Ohio, and moved to Emmet County in 1899.

She was married to Byron W. Weir on June 5, 1901, at the Methodist Church in Estherville, Iowa and lived in Emmet County, except for six years she and her husband lived in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband, one son, Elmer W. Weir of Chicago, one grandson, James W. Weir, of Worth, Ill., one granddaughter, Mrs. Mike McInerney of Brooklyn, Wis., and three great granddaughters and two great grandsons. Two sisters, Mrs. Anna Blau and Miss Nettie Denk and one brother, George Denk, all of Columbus Ohio, survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Fred Denk and Ed Denk.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 23, 1960 at 2 pm at the Sternborg-Reese Funeral Home, the Rev. James Lyon officiating.

Pallbearers will be Belva W. Ross, William B. Clark, John England, Ivol Clark, William Snyder and Elmer Rogers.

Burial will be iin East Side Cemetery. (unknown newspaper)
