Estherville – Services for Ella Amelia Sternborg, 98, of Estherville were held Dec. 27, at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Don Johnson [?] officiating. Interment was in East Side Cemetery. She died Sunday, Dec. 25, 1994 at Lakeview Methodist Home in Fairmont, Minn.

She was born Oct. 28, 1896 in Emmet County, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Minnie [?] (Munstermann) Harvego. She attended rural Emmet County Schools. She moved with her family to Motley, Minn. and later married Arnold Sternborg April 4, 1917 at Motley. The couple moved back to Emmet County and farmed. Following her husband’s death she continued to live on the farm until November 14, 1994 when she became a resident at Lakeview Methodist Home.

She was a life-long member of the Huntington United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

Survivors include one son, Roy E. Sternborg, of Estherville; one granddaughter; five [?] grandchildren; one sister, Amelia [unreadable] of Superior; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert who died Jan. 21, 1965; two sisters and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 28, 1994)
