Colton, Calif. – Max Finch, 77, formerly of Estherville and Terril area, died at Colton, Calif., recently [October 22, 1978, San Bernardino] following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Finch farmed in this area and later moved to Colton where he was employed with the John Deere Company until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen (Sternborg) Finch, Colton, Calif. She is the sister of Fred Sternborg and Mrs. J.W. VanValkenberg, both of Estherville.
