Estherville – Ellard N. [Norris] Sorbo, 69, Estherville, died Thursday, June 4, 1987 at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Kermit Rye officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

He was born May 23, 1918 in Northwood to Nels and Emma (Farley) Sorbo. He received his education at the country school near Northwood. He married Nina Johnson on Sept. 29, 1940 in Northwood. They moved to Estherville in 1948 where he was employed by Jensen Furniture for 15 years. He later worked as a custodian for the Estherville School District retiring in 1983. He was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Nina, Estherville; sons, Jerry Sorbo, Terril, Eugene Sorbo, Estherville, Craig Sorbo, Estherville; six grandchildren; a brother, Gilman Sorbo, Northwood; sisters, Anna (Mrs. Malmin) Anderson, Lake Mills; Dorothy (Mrs. Earl) Towne, Emmons, Minn.
