Victor Smith, 54, Dies At Emmetsburg
Victor Smith, 54, of Emmetsburg, died suddenly Monday [July 7, 1959] evening following a heart attack at the Palo Alto Memorial hospital. He was the brother of Mrs. Earl Russell, Omer Smith and the late John Smith of Milford and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith of Estherville. Mr. Smith was district manager for Box Belt Seeds of Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Bethany Lutheran Church at Emmetsburg. Interment will be in East Lawn [East Side] cemetery in Estherville. (Milford Mail and Terril Record, Milford, IA, July 9, 1959)

Rites Pending for Victor Smith, 54
Victor Smith, 54, well known Emmetsburg man, died Monday afternoon at 5:30 o’clock of a heart condition after he was taken to Palo Alto Memorial hospital at noon. He suffered a heart attack earlier in the day.

Funeral plans at Martin Funeral home are pending.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Lillian; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Grace of Sioux City and Mrs. Jack Bremmer of Moville and four sons, Eugene of Moville and Joel, Edward and Dallas of Emmetsburg. (Emmetsburg Reporter, Emmetsburg, IA, July 7, 1959)
