Mr. Ole B. Lien died Saturday night at the residence of his son-in-law, O. Brunswold, in Center township. Mr. Leen came to America six years ago and was eighty-six years old at the time of his death. The funeral occurred Wednesday, Rev. H. Engh officiating, and the remains were deposited in the Lutheran cemetery [Norwegian Cemetery] north of town. Mr. Lien was the father of C.O. Lien of Center township. Although a very old man the immediate cause of his death was pneumonia. (Emmet County Republican, Estherville, IA, February 10, 1898)
