1910-1979
Estherville – Mrs. Lester (Erna Lucille) Sidles, 69, Estherville, died Tuesday [August 28, 1979] at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, Minn.

Services for Mrs. Sidles will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, with the Rev. Max Goldman of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy L. Cooper, she was born March 7, 1910, at Ocheyedan. She received her education in Ocheyedan schools and took two years of nurses training at the Coleman Hospital in Estherville.

She was married to Lester Sidles on Sept. 15, 1930, at Estherville and the couple lived in Estherville since their marriage. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, was past worthy high priestess of the White Shrine, and a member of the Eastern Star and Social Order of the Beauceant.

Mrs. Sidles is survived by her husband, Lester, Estherville; one son, Richard Sidles, Estherville; two grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Mary Waterman, Estherville; two brothers, Gregory Cooper, Mesa, Ariz., and Delmer Cooper, Bentonville, Ark.; and one sister, Celland Johnson, Mesa, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her father. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 30, 1979)
