Clarence SHIPLEY
Clarence C. Shipley, the son of Frank and Blanche (Patterson) Shipley, was born November 6, 1925, in Luverne, Iowa [MN?]. He departed this life on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the age of 82.He received his education in the rural country schools. After completing his education, Skip served in the United Sates Navy during World War Two from 1943 - 1945.
Skip lived and worked most of his life in Iowa, California and the Seattle, Washington area where he was employed as a mechanic for Boeing.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW, a Disabled American Veteran (DAV) and dedicated his life to the VFW and his church.
Clarence is survived his children, Carol Rydstrand; Karen Wilkins; Dawn Hauschen; Clark Schmidtke; and siblings, Mary Smith; Rolland Shipley and his wife, Carol; and many other loved ones.
Preceding Skip in death were his parents and seven brothers and sisters.
