Ringsted – Services for Mrs. Dagmar Helena Christiansen, 93, Ringsted, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ringsted, with the Rev. James Berka officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.Mrs. Christiansen died Sunday at the Good Samaritan Center, Estherville.
Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Ringsted, until noon Wednesday, when the body will be taken to the church.
Mrs. Christiansen was born July 18, 1884, in Copenhagen, Denmark, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Mouritsen. She received her education in Denmark and was married to Theo Christiansen March 8, 1905 at Ringsted.
The couple farmed in the Ringsted area and she was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one son Raymond Christiansen, Ringsted; three daughters, Mrs. Svend (Ethel) Kjaer, Iowa City, Mrs. Ray (Edelia) Theesefield, Armstrong, and Mrs. Emil (Leona) Purst, Iola, Wisc.; 20 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. William (Anne) Warner, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Mrs. Christiansen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sons, four brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 18, 1978)
