Elsie Plymesser
Estherville – Services for Mrs. Elsie C. Plymesser, 91, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the United Methodist Church in Estherville with the Rev. Clifford Haider officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Sunday [March 7, 1982] in Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Estherville Tuesday evening.

She was born Jan. 1, 1891 in Manchester, Ia., the daughter of George and Mary (Swenburne) Clark. She received her education in the Scranton school system and attended college in Denison, Ia. She was married to Frank Plymesser on March 15, 1911 at Jefferson. They farmed near Churdan, Farnhamville and Pinard, Milford, Spirit Lake and moved to a farm near Estherville in 1934 where she continued to live until selling the farm in 1980. Mr. Plymesser died in 1970.

Mrs. Plymesser was a member of the United Methodist Chruch; life member f WSCS; taught Sunday School; belonged to Alphas; Farm Bureau and Superior Coop Elevator.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. John (Beulah) Ford, Spirit Lake and Mrs. Carl (Marjorie) Haag, Austin, Minn; nine grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Alton Clark, Amboy, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one daughter and her parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 9, 1982)
