Estherville – Services for Emma Augusta Peterson, 83, of Estherville, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Estherville with the Rev. Glenn Bohmer officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Monday, May 4, 1992 at Rosewood Manor Nursing Home.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born July 9, 1908 at Estherville, the daughter of Claus and Amanda (Matthews) DeWall, and attended country schools. On Feb. 14, 1941 she married Elmer Peterson at Estherville. She lived all her life in the Estherville area. The family served as church custodians for 18 years at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran.

Survivors include one son Allan Peterson, Estherville; two sisters: Mrs. Harold (Carrie) Hyatt, Council Bluffs and Mrs. Glenn (Elsie) Whitish, Estherville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died May 23, 1985; parents, four brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 8, 1992)
