Estherville – Memorial services for Edward P. [Paul] Petersen, 79, of Estherville will be held at a later date in Estherville. He died on Feb. 10 at his home in Estherville. There will be no visitation.

He was born on Nov. 29, 1920 in Terril, the son of Henry J. and Anna (Lambertus) Petersen.

He received his education in Terril and graduated in 1938.

On July 5, 1947 he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Tostenrud in Pipestone, Minn. The couple made their home in Estherville where he worked as a mechanic for Thomas Motors and Heneman Motors. He also worked for Tostenrud Motors in Emmetsburg. In 1959 he began farming north of Terril where he farmed until 1975 when he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Petersen of Estherville; one sister-in-law, Lucille Anderson of Estherville; six nephews and three nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 11, 2000)
