Estherville – Services for Paul N. Paulson, 67, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Estherville with Pastor John Moldstad officiating. Burial will be at the East Side Cemetery. He died April 2, 1984 at Veteran’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Estherville.

Paulson was born Feb. 25, 1917 in Estherville, the son of Simon Paulson and Bertha (Nelson) Paulson. He attended Jack Creek Rural School. On Sept. 16, 1939 he was united in marriage with Wilma McGuinn in Spencer. He served with the marines in World War II. Following the service he owned and operated the Estherville Cab Co. He was also in the restaurant business in Alexandria, Minn. for five years before returning to Estherville where he and his wife operate the Dairy Queen and later Hamburger Heaven until 1966 when they moved to Sioux Falls. There he worked at Sioux Valley Hospital until retirement due to ill health in 1969. He resided in Sioux Falls until his death.

He is survived by wife Wilma, Sioux Falls; one daughter, Mrs. Don (Donna) Kuhnau, Estherville; one son, Danny Paulson, Richardson, Texas; six grandchildren; one brother, Jerome Paulson, Perry, Iowa; three sisters: Mrs. Norman (Annie) Egeland, Wallingford, Mrs. Myrtle Sunde, Estherville and Mrs. Gladys Larsen, Willard, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 4, 1984)
