Prominent Lady and Husband Pass Away
Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Wilson Die Within a Week; Lived Here 23 Years.
C. J. Wilson, 73 years old, a prominent figure in railroad circles for many years, passed away at his home in Estherville, this (Wednesday) afternoon at four-thirty, from apoplexy.

For many years he was superintendent of the Dakota division of the Rock Island railroad at Estherville, and also of other divisions. At one time he was associated with the Northern Pacific, Duluth, Mesaba and Northern and Canadian Northern railroads. His counsel and management were considered of the highest type of his associates and fellow workers in the railroad world.

C.J. Wilson was a man among men. He was an outstanding personality, and he was unafraid to stand for the things he thought right, regardless of criticism. After leaving the railroad July 1, 1912, he was associated with the Gardston hotel, and later, as a dispatcher with the Western Union.

An appropriate obituary will be published next week. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, July 10, 1929) [next issue missing]
