Estherville – Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday for Pearl Agatha Lines, 89, who died Sunday [July 5, 1987] at Rosewood Manor Nursing home here. Pastor Mark Jolivette will conduct the services at East Side cemetery.

Visitation at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home of Estherville will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Lines was born April 16, 1896 at Reinbeck, the daughter of Henry J. and Amelia (Thompson) Cook. She attended the Reinbeck schools and was married to Harris (Tim) Lines June 28, 1916 at Dike.

The couple farmed for many years in the Estherville and Gruver area. Pearl was also known as the Pop Corn Lady of Estherville since she operated a small popcorn stand on South 6th street.

She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge and the VFW Auxiliary.

Pearl is survived by two sons and one daughter, including Roger Harris Lines of Des Moines, Louis George Lines of Estherville, and Ruth Loraine Klein of Kennewick, Wash. Seven grandchildren and eight grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 8, 1987)
